👇Where My Heads At This Week 👇

This past week I did some walking and lots of it… over 45 miles to be exact. My current mode of transformation is walking. It’s where ideas come from and just so happens to be where I get time to talk the important people in my life, solve world problems and constantly ponder how to better myself.

My wife is often my walking partner and doubles as my business partner. She plays Chairman of the Board. She’s not only one of the most intelligent humans I know, but quite honestly one of the most patient.

This past week I spent some time pondering AI and the speed at which it’s moving. If you know me and the speed at which I speak, I have a hard time comprehending anything that moves faster than my conversations. Yet, as we watch AI, we see the double edged sword of what AI can and will do to society.

As someone that likes to remain on the forefront of technology, I often wonder what AI might do to the next generation. Will it remove critical thinking?

That said, there are plenty of benefits and while we can’t ignore AI, we have to be aware of the natural consequences. The opportunities are endless, but with opportunity comes cost. As we see this all continue to evolve, we’re going to see a lot of changes in society both good and bad. But do not ignore AI, as it’s going to be at the forefront of our lives for years to come.

I will continue to stay on top of what’s happening in San Diego, specifically in North County. I am building a bit of a hit list of events in the coming days and weeks.

The No Agenda Event Series is in full force in 2025. I’ll be your host with one goal to make it a great experience. Each event series will have a focus on categories from sports tech to operations to marketing to AI. Each event has a cap and is industry specific, meaning we’re pretty strict on attendance to keep conversations at a high level.

🤔 LinkedIn Thoughts 🤔

I often talk about intentionality in conversation… DUDE Wipes founder Sean Riley is absolutely one of the best at it.

After a couple of laps by his booth I could see Sean laser focused on a conversation with some folks that just wanted to meet him. He’s built an enormous brand and yet he still takes time to engage with everyone.

And one of the beauties of trade shows is seeing old faces that have been in the trenches of brand building for years.

I got to see one friend, P. Brandon Pogue, that has been building TruLabs and is crushing it.

Intentions speak louder than actions… be intentional!

He loved his check in role!

🏅 North County Spotlight 🏅

Steve Iverson and I met around 8 months ago at a tech event in San Diego. We chatted at the event and realized we had a lot of mutual interests. And even crazier is we had some mutual connections back to his childhood. Steve is at the forefront of AI and innovation in technology. He’s had several successful exits and is at the top of my list of great humans. If you have a chance connect to connect with Steve, I would highly recommend it.
